Linen Tube Clutch AND Surface-Woven Tote

I did it. Just got back from the LYS with yarn for both projects. Oh boy. My intent was just to buy for the clutch but I love love LOVE the Nashua wool colors!

The Nashua cotton is a nice mild variegated yellow called Acacia. It doesn't have the sheen that the pattern yarn calls for but eh. I guess there's the difference - beautiful color combo for the tote but the clutch should be an impressive FO. Starting at least one tonight!

Have you started the linen tube clutch yet? I have started mine and find working with the flax yarn,in herringbone stitch (double strand), slow going. I wondered how you were progressing.
I have changed needles from blunt tip bernat needles to bamboo. I am still having trouble with speed. The yarn does not give much. I am thinking about buying and trying some adi turbos. The herringbone pattern does look very straw like. How are you doing with your clutch?
