Is anyone else knitting the laptop case? I bought the Cascade 220. I am using Sz 11s to get gauge, but the "fabric" is pretty loosely woven and I am worried that it's not going to be sturdy enough after felting to hold something as heavy as a laptop. Whatcha think? I am going to try to felt my swatch to see what happens.

I don't have me book handy in the pattern are you holding two strands together ? All the felted bags I made with 22o I did on a
10 1/2 and they were pretty sturdy but for something as expensive as a laptop I would feel better linning it. It's a cute bag though so I hope it turns out.
I've used the double stranded 220 (on other bags) and it felts wonderfully. I second Stephanie's suggestion of lining it...something that would pop with the color of yarn that you are using.
Two and a half weeks later and I have the knitting done for this laptop case, except for the last 150 rows of the strap. I will definitely be lining this bag, if I can find the right stuff to do it with. I have another bag waiting to be lined; I'm not the greatest seamstress, although good at the "stress" part!
Anyway, this laptop bag is gigantic, the size of a small afghan now, and I can't imagine it will shrink to size when felted, but I've rechecked my gauge several times and it seems right, so we'll see.
I'll try to get a picture posted before I put the bag in the washing machine to felt it.
